I've had 2 PM's returned to me this week with a note that the recipient's inbox was full.

One was simply answering a question, but the other was a situation where a member was shopping for a particular model boat that happens to be the worst designed boat Sea Ray has offered. I just wanted to tell him to sea trial one locally before he offered $ for a boat 1000 miles away and got invested in something he would most likely hate. Unfortunately, he didn't get that heads up because his inbox is full.

The answer is simple..........either maintain your inboxes, or support CSR with a donation to get the enhanced data storage for PM's and photos. After all, you depend on CSR as an information source that gets you access to arguably hundreds if not thousands of the most experienced Sea Ray owners anywhere. Why not help pay the freight with a donation ?

Now I'm climbing down off my soapbox..............

You go Frank!

Couldn't Agree more. I have the same situation quite a bit. Even with a $25 donation you get tons of space. Well worth the money compared all I have saved from this site!

I agree totally...
it would be helpful though if there were some notification of being near capacity
or move the capacity bar to the top where it is more noticeable

I have to say - I'm sorry. I have used the site and knowledge of fellow CSRers for years and never really knew about the donation tab to support CSR. Duh. I have now donated...

good job up on the soap box brother.. just got my logo as well. Now hopefuuly some more of us slackers will pony up.

On my 2nd year being a Silver Sponsor!

There are several of them on CSR, so I'm not going to get into specifics. No sense in upsetting innocent bystanders because one guy didn't get a PM.........which is why it was a private message.

Feel free to send me a PM, just let my check my inbox. :) I'm currently boat shopping.

After 'lurking' for years and posting occassionally, I just supported about 3 weeks ago. The info on this site is great and I am always greatful for the tech advice. If you have benefited from CSR, you should support it !

Thanks Frank for the reminder that this site needs money to keep alive. Sometimes all it takes is a reminder of the real service this site offers for the "nominal" fee. Considering we are all boaters who drop $$$ on any given weekend, there really isn't any reason everyone shouldn't donate. I just signed up as a Gold member since it has been a year since my membership lapsed. I appreciate the reminder! Keep CSR alive, make your donation today!!

Thanks for bringing this up, Frank. As an active member for number of years I'm using very simple logic. I've saved thousands of dollars over the years due to having this great source of information. Investing $25, $50 or $100 (whatever is comfortable) is the least one can do to make sure the site is live and kicking. I know that to some folks it may sound strange to pay to be on a forum, but when one come across a situation when advice received from this site saved tons of money, then it makes total sense to do the minor contribution. It's only for your own good.

Frank, if you want to tell everybody the 480DB is the best designed Sea Ray ever we can just get that one out of way before it even comes up.

After my first engine issue after buying my 280da which eneded up being an IAC and the fact that I found the information here and how to fix it (which saved me $100 or more) I logged on and donated immediately. Two years running and will continue to donate to this informative and sometimes comical site.

 that's a good one.

Well said! Do a tally in your head of the dough saved from advice on this site and you'll immediately donate!
