Hey all, having the common EIM issues on my 320 DA. Port side only aft EIM, starboard is fine. Very intermittent and this just started a few months ago.

Long and short, I managed to track down a used EIM setup, both control boxes, both kidney panels on ebay. Took a chance I know....Anyway today I finally got out there, panel is actually behaving so I raise the hatch lift and swap out only the aft EIM with the ebay unit, and everything works perfectly. I ran through every switch on that panel for probably 20 minutes, opened/closed the engine hatch etc while I was running the motors for a bit.

Shut everything down and packed up. Decided since some time passed I'd try the panel one more time, and it was completely dead, nothing working. So I swap out the switch panel to the ebay unit and still, nothing at all. Swap it back to original and back to intermittent function.

So I'm wondering if I got sold a broken setup (seller assures me this was not the case for what thats worth) or if I have some sort of wiring issue. Seems ironic both box/panel combinations showed the same behavior, but unless this setup was taken from a salvage boat it had to be malfunctioning to begin with and swapped out with the FP setup.

For now I'm going to manually open the hatch and run some temporary relay/toggle switch setup so at least I can open the hatch and run the blowers. I've read some older threads on these EIM issues but I don't know if SR is offering any of these parts or if making your own switch/harness/module setup or the FP option is the only solution.

I just had the same issues....you are on borrowed time with your current.
Just got my port delivered and it works great and looks good too. 800 all in.

So as a conclusion to this I followed Groucho's advice and reached out to Chris with Digital Marine Products. Ordered a few weeks ago and installed today. If anyone is having these issues, I HIGHLY recommend him for replacement panels. They are of far superior quality to the OEM panels, you can tell the second you unbox them. Looks great and solved all my issues.

Anyway, anyone having these issues email this guy, you won't regret it!

Anyone with current EIM issues and anyone without EIM issues (yet, it's a matter of time) must strongly consider the Flounder Pounder (FP) system as shown above. I was proactive in replacing my functional factory EIM system with the aftermarket FP setup and I'm beyond happy with it. It is a simple install from from a procedural/connection perspective and just like nearly all marine projects, the worst part is the boat yoga positions required in certain areas. Ken at FP is beyond helpful and awill do anything he can to help you before, during or after installation. He knows these boats and systems like the back of his hand.
