First, I know contacting your members of Congress probably amounts to very little, but have any members here voiced there opinion to the representatives regarding this "vote buying plan"...err I mean economic stimulus plan?

I know I have, two state senators and my representative, party affiliation made no difference to me. I will say this I let them know I was displeased with what I have read about this plan.

I heard one reporter going on about how great this plan is, (I do not see it) She was referring to portion about making broadband more accessible in the outlying regions of the country.

I will paraphrase here,

"More people will be hired to lay fiber, which in turn will mean more businesses will create web sites selling their products, which will mean jobs at call centers will increase."

If enough people contact their reps it will make a difference, key words, (enough people), that is one of the problems today not enough people voice their opinions to their reps both state and federal. I have not yet but will before this day is over.

Reporters don't understand either business or economics. They're just lightweight marketing types.

Contacting representatives of The People's Republic of Joisey has proven uniformly unsatisfactory. I have a bunch of form letters regretting why my so-called republican congresscritter can't support any given conservative position. The senators are even worse, being hard lefty democraps.

Best regards,
Frank

Want to see a lefty Senator or two? Look at Michigan. At least my Congressman did the right thing.

Yes I agree Frank, but there is actually little else we can do. I to often say "What's the use" but that is the problem just too damn many people say just that, and then do nothing.

I did hear back from the republican state senator, even though it is pure PC jargon, but then again, I also heard this morning the democrats are increasing the amount for road and bridge repair, though this is still gov'mint money. I can see that route as having a better outcome regarding employment, then the pork currently proposed.

I am thinking perhaps a few others contacted these lame ass sorry excuses.
