I was wondering what is the best method to reboot the ECM? I recently had an alarm go off and wanted to reset the ECM to see if the condition still persists after I serviced the engine.

Also, is there any scan tool that is recommended for my boat?

Thanks

If the problem is solved, Then the alarm should go away on it's own, But it may store the fault in the history of the ECM, so that you can read it later with a scan tool of some kind.

The link above has the tools you could check and erase any faults, But unhooking the power will not reset the ECM.

Hope this helps, Good luck.:smt001
