With a boat > 40 feet you might find visibility limited and/or challenging during docking maneuvers. With a spouse helping out it's important that the two of you are able to communicate. We used this pair of Eartec Simultalk headsets a few times before deciding to upgrade to one that could integrate with our phones. If you were looking to improve communications during docking, locking or other stressful maneuvers with your larger boat, these might be for you. Through Amazon, new, the pair would run $295. I'm selling ours for $150. We only had the set for a few months.
