Dumb thing that I did.

The person that owned the boat before me, cut the horn wires off, removed the horn, and plugged the holes. I thought I found where the wires came through the hull behind the speaker. I tugged and tugged to no luck to pull these wires from the silicone.

So I reached in with my wire cutters, and cut the wires, only to find out that it was not the horn wires, but the three windshield wipers. But I do have my horn working now.

Has anyone else been that dumb? I would hate to be alone. Now I have to figure how to splice new wires in without taking the windshield off. This project may be an out of water one come fall. I might try and clear the silicone from inside the boat and see if I can pull the wires out of the windshield, then splice and snake new ones into the hull.

Well. almost. I removed my horns to have one fixed. Re-upholstered the boat and now my horn wires are in the headliner. O well........ Yea, it happens.

I am just hope I can get a wire snake down there this fall so that I do not have to take the windshield apart to splice them. I would like to get them working. Fall project and maybe I will try and figure out how to get the cabinet off the wall which would make it a whole lot easier to snake and splice.

So do you turn on the windshield wipers to get the horn to work?? Man, that's the kind of thing I'd do! Sorry and I hope it's an easy fix!
