New to me 2006 340. Still has the original C80, Radome, DSM300, ST6001 electronics setup. When I got it, the C80 powered up and the scanner worked, but no fishfinder and no GPS. I have cleaned up the wiring and GPS is now functioning properly. On the DSM300, I have metered that power at the unit. It meters good, but no status light at all. Is there something internal I should check? Am I correct that the status light, if the unit is good, would come on regardless of any issue with transducer or C80?

I have a spare. No idea what it’s worth, but make me an offer.

Might take you up on that, but sent mine in to RM to see what they say first. Out of curiosity, where was your spare manufactured?

Hungary. It’s still in the box.

Have the same boat, same year, E80. Also had similar problem and more, was a troubleshooting nightmare. Nothing worse than running at night with unreliable electronics. Sent mine back to RM also, as they suggested. The fix was to replace with newer 400 unit @ $300+ due to burnt area on board. Installed, worked - but still issues with consistent communication. Had an electronics pro come over and help trouble shoot. Ended up the junction box (basically a router) was defective and causing all of my issues. VHF not working, AIS hit or miss, no apparent integration with SmartCraft, things just were not talking to each other. Friend had just upgraded his to a new Garmin system and it was really nice - mainly the ease of use and it is reliable. So I did same. (Was planning on an upgrade, just not this season). Although lost AIS for now, everything else works great and so easy to navigate options on the Garmin 7612.
