Recently I had an exhaust leak which led into replacing the dry stack exhaust riser. In that process the blanket got torn and is no longer any good. The blankets look good from the outside and were replaced when I first got the boat by the previous owner and were from DieselPro. This one tore so easily that I want to replace all of them. In looking for new ones the only place I can find is DieselPro and there are out of there mind on price, over $500 for each piece and a total of 8 pieces so $4K for blankets and that's just crazy. I found the turbo blanket for $40 on ebay but can't find the the riser one anywhere except DieselPro.
Anyone have any experience with these? I was thinking of possibly wrapping them in 2" header wrap, but I don't really like that idea. Spending 4K on blankets, just doesn't sit right with me, but if I have to I will.
