Drive Unit Oil

Jeremy has talked to me about this in the past so he understands the situation that I was in. The above is correct for my situation. But the unit has gotten down close to the add mark after the first couple of times of using from the burp after our annual service. Not sure how many ounces. I asked my service manager about it and he did not seemed concerned and sold me the bottle of gear lube. They took the drive off this year for the annual service and no problems were noticed. I feel pretty confident everything is fine. I also recall someone talking about having a leak in the reserve bottle in the past and that was causing theirs to leak.

I will check the manual but will have to do tonight.

When mine was leaking that was the exact problem, it was leaking around the bolts that mounted the resereve bottle to the compartment itself. I dont know if they still design them this way(hopefully not) as my boat is 20 yrs old and I had to buy an after market resv. tank as I could not find an OEM replacement. The AM tank worked great and I have no problems now ! The tank it self was 30 bucks and about 30 min of labor !
