While lookng at Google earth, I noticed Douglas Lake, looks like a good place for a 3 day boating wk. end next summer. Can anyone give any info on this lake ........... How far north can you go. Is there ample intertainment, marinas landings on the Ashville side. Or is this not a good choice, is there another location the same distance from SC. Ive never boated any farther north than Keowee, but love the mountains and the water. Nicky
