Don't Buy Stuff You Can't Afford

One of my favorite experiences was watching some 20 somethings at the gas station. They pull up in a brand new 1-ton diesel and a gofast. One guy goes into the circle K to get a couple cases of beer. The others proceed to argue at the gas pump over who was going to buy the gas. After both couples complained about already being maxed out the single guy who had bought the beer finally ends up putting the gas on his card and saying something to the effect of it being the last time he goes on the guys boat.

But if we heed the advice of the book "Don't Buy Stuff you Can't Afford", there would be no footitis, no dighy envy, no upgrading of any kind, and there would no www.clubsearay.com.

Whatever you do, do NOT read the sequel, "Don't Buy Boating Stuff That Is Not Cost-Effective."

Unfortunatley you can't find this book in any Book Store under "Boating" or "recreation".
Not even in the "Financial Section" and it's certainly not on the Counter of my SeaRay Dealer.
I think it's urban folklore.....time to start eyeing that 340DA.
