Find someone that can mill Delrin. Have them make the wedge and put you holes where you want. Depending on your area, there might be a high power rocket manufacturer that can make you a delrin "centering ring" and mill the angle in it for you. And the good thing about Delrin is it's good to mach 3.0 (as far as I know) and will satisfy that "space ship" look. Mike @ Binder Design might have enough scrap to make one for you for just a few bucks.

Not really. Used to Geocache and would see all kinds of issues with handhelds walking around.
