Docking App

Over this coming winter I thought I'd improve my docking (lack of) skills using an app.

Early searches point to Dock Master. Anyone else have recommendations? My preference would be one that has I/O as an option.

I think you're going to get a lot of "you'll never learn the skill of docking from an app". But airplane pilots certainly do?

Do you have a link to this software you speak of? I've never heard of such a thing.

Dock Master appears to be for managing Marinas...

I've messed with Ship Simulator... it's pretty cool.

My bad - it's called Boat Master it's an IOS app.

I agree on the captn. However, looking for something to play around with during the winter when the boat is in storage.

Im finding the app to be quite the good time though. Not sure how practical in real world situation, other than coordination of what you should as far as brain and hands.

Yep great fun. I wish it had the option of 2 shifters + 2 throttles + 1 steering wheel. In real life, we only have to deal with 5 controls at once, unless you also have thrusters in which case it could be up to 7.

I got one of these as a gift. It has twin-screws but no rudders, so you have maneuver "with the sticks". It's the most realistic simulation I've seen, even though it's just a toy. I'm even thinking of making some floating docks and making a contest of out it.
