Do LED lights attract fewer or more bugs?

There have been several discussions on replacing cockpit lights with LED lights. For those of you who have made this modification, do you notice any difference in the number of bugs attracted LED lights?

my blue cockpit lites don't seem to attract at all ...BUT THE MAST LITE SURE DOES

I don't think it's the type of bulb as it is the color. Many people on lakes say the blue is a bug magnent but in the saltwater I can't tell a difference.

I have all blue leds in cockpit, I just ordered the amber leds hopping that they'll attract less, the blues did attract for me plus you couldn't see if you were eating on the cockpit table at night.

The blue LEDs I put in the radar arch are bug magnets. We rarely turn them on and only still have them because the admiral likes to impress her friends with them. I put warm white in the cockpit floor fixtures as a result. Cool white also has some blue wavelength to it (the wavelength that appears to attract the bugs), so I recommend warm white all the way around the boat.

As said here earlier, Red is not supposed to attract, and is sold for that purpose

Red all the way. I have had red for years and no problem with bugs... Now white and blue. BUG magnet!

Red in the arch for me, warm white elsewhere. Bugs don't seem to swarm the red.

I replaced all the outdoor courtesy lights in my Silverton with LED lights, the whitish blue tint, and they didn't seem to attract bugs at all. The remaining incadescent bulbs in my porch lights seemed to attract tons of bugs. I have yet to replace the ones in my Sea Ray, but plan on doing that soon!

We can't see any difference between our blue and white cockpit LED's for the most part.
