Do you think a pair of these would work?
Absolutely...we do it all the time. And we don't even cut anything. Just slide the diagonal side cutting wire cutters under the snap and squeeze....they usually let go without even cutting the stem of the dome cap.
OOPS...didn't see that pic you posted...those are tile "nippers" aren't they?
We use electrician's diagonal side cutters to remove old snaps. They work great.
