DIY Transom Speaker Mounts

I couldn't hear the music well enough while swimming behind the boat and didn't want to cut large holes in the transom for rear facing speakers like the new boats have. Here is what I came up with...

well that's different. what are you using to power those?
 
Do you have to attach the speaker wires each time you want to use these or are you going to use blue tooth speakers?
 
Does something plug the holes on the swim platform when their removed?

It looks really cool like its the dominator X1 but I can see someone getting bopped in the head if its rough and your boarding from the water.

Very creative, that's impressive ingenuity.
 
there are plastic caps that cover the stainless steel bases when not in use.
the speaker wires stay plugged into the boxes at all times because I lay them on the shelves in the interior for use when they're not on the poles.
 
How do you stop your music from disturbing others around you who don't want to listen to it? Are you always far enough away?
