What is the method for making a towing bridle? I am pretty sure that I may have read some place that when towing it is best to use bridle arrangement, My dinghy only has a front bow hook position to connect something to.

Also, that one should a dinghy at the crest or just beyond the second wake back.

And just prior to docking if one does not have davits, to stop and then pull the dinghy up partially on your swim platform as if you did have a davit system.

Any one have any information or links?

Thanks

Here is a picture of our Zodiac sitting upside down on our dock (it was out for washing). The towing rings are right at the water line just ahead of the point where the front tubes join the side tubes.

I made our bridal out of a pice of line about 10' long. I ran the line through a Stainless ring and put sailboard halyard clips on each end. I used the halyard clips because I had them hanging around in a junk box of prior boat stuff. They also don't rely on an internal spring that can rust to stay shut the way traditional snap clips do. I connect the dinghy to the boat with a 50' length of line with a small float on the dinghy end.

I do not have an rings as I have a Boss Pro 10 foot 4 inch all fiberglass dinghy and would like to know the best method for towing.

Dingy empty supposedly weights 196 pounds ad the motor weights 96 pounds, Yamaha 25 HP four-stroke, it has no gas tank. I have a separate 3.5 gallon tank. it might be 5 gallons, it is one of those triangle shaped designs.

Thanks
