What's everyone using for navigation?
Mounting options?
All Garmin for Nav. and Comm. Maretron for ship's monitoring.
Mostly all mounted in original Raymarine locations. Helm Pic -

I'm simmilat to Tom except I'm Raymarine Axiom 12 for NAV/Radar, Maretron for systems monitoring.

I run a set of Raymarine E-120's, naviontics equipt I-Pad mounted on side window with suction cup. I phone close by with I-Boat app, & naviontics. Chart layed out on table for area we are in. Just in case.

I went with 2 Raymarine Axiom XL 16 with open array Magnum radar.

Here is our current setup using Raymarine E120W displays. These will be replaced with Ray Axiom 12 pro displays and the autopilot will be upgraded to a Raymarine drive by wire specific to our Volvo pods.

Sorry folks = I should have been more specific. SInce posting in the "dinghies" section, I meant for the tenders

I'm in some really dirty water and would rather not find routes or obstacles using seek and find with the new dinghy

Just bought a walker bay venture 14.
It has Simrad 9” in it. Chart Plotter, you can also split the screen and it shows rpm, fuel level, h2O pressure etc for the
Out board.
Truthfully it will do more than I will ever figure out.

Sorry it also acts like a fish finder with side scan , cannot wait to try it out.

I have a Garmin Echo portable that I have semi flush mounted with Velcro in the center console. I share it between the 180BR and the Dink since they are rarely used at the same time. Takes 30 seconds to set up and I don't have to worry about some one swiping it off the dink.

I have a Walker bay With a 40hp Honda and it has a Simrad G05 that has depth, Sonar and displays the engine diagnostics as well. I have a Navionics platinum+ chart chip in it and it is great for exploring new harbors.

Didn't you say this was for a dinghy? Not a big boat where you can display side by side screens?

Here's what we have for both Whalers. It's a Garmin 5" Down Vu sonar with depth finder and charts for every water way in the US.

Here's what the screen looks like. I have it set with the GPS/Plotter on the upper part and depth finder/sonar on the bottom. This shot is in 170' of water. Look at the clarity of the display of the bottom.
