I’m thinking about a Highfield 340 with a 20 hp outboard for our 360 Dancer. It is 11’2” long and I’m wondering if anyone has tried a dinghy of that size on the swim platform. Planning to use Hurley H3O davit system. Any thoughts?

That's going to be a pretty dominating dinghy. I had a 10'6" dink on my 340 and it felt pretty well maxed out for the platform in terms if width (not weight).

I imagine you can do it but you may want to consider something slightly smaller if you're worried about docking and/or access to the corners of the platform while dealing with shore power, water, etc.

Our platform is 16” off the water. Hurley said too high.

+1 what Stee6043 said. I carry a 10' zodiac w/ a 15hp motor on my 12' beam 340DA and fits real nice. Made my own davit.

Make sure you get Hurley's extension. You'll need the extra real estate for the beam.
