Diesel View / Vessel View Upgrade

I normally show the GPH for both engines on the far left table however for some reason that table constantly reverts back to the way it is now. Haven’t figured that out yet.

Tom are you you referring to the speed at RPM or the MPG?
29.2 MPH at 0.61 MPG at 2080 RPM. About as good as it gets....
So 0.61 is per engine obviously then you are at 17.8 G/H at 2080 R/M - looks like you are right in the sweet spot..
Load probably around 75%?

Finally got it all finished and installed. Now I need to figure out how to program all these blocks so I can see the data like you have it all set up.

Ocgrant, that sweet!

yes sir... I see you have this pretty tricked out.

We may have to get on the phone together and walk through it over a beer. Not sure I can type the process. Jeremy gave me the pattern to follow and I built on it.

I may have to take you up on that!!!

After you get yours figured out I'm driving down so you can show me how to set up mine. I really want to do this but I don't want to pay someone.

I have a 2006 SeaRay Sundancer in Lahaina HI and the Smartcraft SC5000 display is in the fogging over mode. I think going to the Vessel View 703 is my preferred path as I would like to put some of the extras on that display like depth and rudder position, which currently show on the Smartcraft.

I believe the dieselview sims on the engines QSC 8.3s are late enough to be compatible, but the cabling on the vesselview doesn't look like it will plug to the smart craft, I see there is a display adapter available.

Can you send the diagrams on your original post as like pdf attachments or something, as I have trouble reading the ones on the post?

Any clues on how to connect the Vesselview to the existing wiring in the SeaRay that went to Smartcraft would be a huge help. There is minimal technical assistance here on this kind of thing.

Here is the treasure map... You need the VV703 dual engine kit and then order the harnesses highlighted in this map. You will remove the old medusa harness and install this as well as a Nema2K network if you don't currently have on.

On the lower right of your right hand Axiom, you appear to have a version of the dashboard that I don't have on my Axiom+. Is that a customized screen or is that just the standard dashboard display. I like the digital gauge look. Mine look a bit different. Wondering if you specifically built that screen or if it was just a default.

For those who don't have it, this Sea View 703 install guide might be helpful.

I had my marina upgrade my SC5000 to VV703 last week and I went through the documentation hoping to configure the screens when I was down at the boat today. I added steering to the main engines screen and I found the steering inputs in set-up but I couldn’t find one for the rudder sensor that would work. I also could not find a way to add engine hours and fuel burn in the set-up screens. I had all these inputs on the SC5000.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you are on the right path. I think I used the auto configuration and that picked up everything except my rudder sensor. I still had to mess around with some settings to get the display just the way I liked it.

On your 703 display does it show the Hours category but hours are blank? The category needs to be selected for the option to show. For a twin engine both Port (P) and Starboard (S) engines hours need to be selected.

I also called the below number a few times to ask questions. Chad was very helpful.

I saw the auto configure option but didn't know whether my mechanic used that or not but I'll try it. I did not see an option for hours but may need to dig a little deeper.

Were you finally able to get the existing rudder sensor on the 703?

I'll play with it a little more and then call Chad.

Thanks.
