I used to think that this was funny, but now its just starting to annoy me.

Wing, why don't you just find another forum to bother people on?

Here are a few suggestions carefully chosen to match your personallity:

http://www.bestbingoforum.com
http://www.clog.org

So "White Collar" logs into CSR at 7:00 AM with his PC this morning and reads his PM"s... He's somewhere down by Miami...

Then a guy named "Wingless" logs into another boating forum at about the same time with the same IP address (down by Miami again) and reads a post I put over there...

What you doing down in Miami wingtard?

Unreal, why am I all of a sudden involved in this mess?

This doesn’t really deserve a response, but…

“So after Four Suns published all of the private information for Arizona240DA, it was no longer private. Before that, his ISP, IP, exact location, web browser, screen resolution, and so on were only known to the CSR System Administrator.”

Gary was wrong, dead wrong, perhaps purposely, perhaps not. Either way it is inconsequential. He did not post MY particular IP, etc. I don’t even live in Peoria, hence my location information “Peoria???”. Also, nine out of ten times I am on a Verizon card. My preference would be not to have private information posted, but it could happen at any point in time. It is the risk we all take by operating on the internet…

To sum this whole thing up, Wingless is crazy and Gary is a dick. I still stand by my irony comments concerning this thread…

Have a great day folks.

It's an IP address. Why in the world would anyone presume it's private? You don't own it. You can't posses it. It's not yours. The 'net doesn't work that way. Here in the U.S. they are owned by IANA which distributes them to ARIN. ARIN then sort-of, kind-of leases them to providers. You can pretend otherwise but it's just a fantasy.

Here's my IP address. 166.203.3.116 Big efing deal.

So Frank... how was that ham and cheese omlette, two slices of buttered toast, half an orange, coffee and, oh my... TWO Bloody Marys this morning?

I was trying to generalize; talking more about personal information on the internet, such as banking, credit cards, social security numbers, etc. Risk on the internet as a whole. It had little to do with an IP. Along with that I was pointing out that the information posted about me was inaccurate, that was all. I truly wasn’t all bunched about said IP information being posted; just found it odd that my name came up…

I wasn't posting about you, otherwise I would have quoted your post. It was about the thread in general where some people are upset about their private info is published. No private information is implicitly associated with an internet address. Anything more than what ARIN provides requires the user to provide the information to make that association.

where is Bungholio by the way?

parakeet....

wingturd won't come back... He might under a different name... and maybe try to use an anonymous proxy... although those things are known to install all kinds of nasty malware on your computer...

Arizona240DA actually is in Sahuarita, AZ...

I've seen wingless log in from hotels from a public library, etc. It really is quite impressive the lengths he is going to. Meanwhile, he could just join again and participate normally. What a concept.

Whenever I dig into his IP history I can picture him sitting at the free computer at the comfort inn eating danishes

Wait... I'm supposed be you... or you are supposed to be me... something like that. You are like the Oracle from the Matrix...
