The last sub-juvenile member that could not "comport themselves within the limitless boundaries..." got banned. He was a piece of work named Wingbutt or Wingnut or Wingnit or Wingturd...or Wingwhatever.

Rumor is that he is the ONLY guy to ever be banned and that if he shows up again, he'll get banned again. You haven't seen him hanging around your computer have you?

Who keeps all the CSR member's private information secure?

Who passed all that private CSR system administrator information to Four Suns to publish on-line, like the exact location, the IP address, even the screen resolution?

Even the worst Pirate / porn sites just steal that information for their own nefarious purposes. At CSR the stealth system administrator publishes that information.
All the prior photos of FourSuns show a fat dim-witted dolt, but the recent deleted self-image (pending fly leaf?) showed a really gay guy. Is he one / the other / or both?

I have no dog in this fight but I would like to take a quote from the home page of CSR, which you may call the “mission statement”:

“Welcome to CSR, a website for Sea Ray owners to enthusiastically discuss all aspects of Sea Ray ownership. Whether you are looking for your first Sea Ray, or have owned one for years, you are sure to feel “at home” on CSR.”

I do not see “Sea Ray” in your boat info title, and I see nothing “enthusiastic” in your posts here. Why not leave??

I will admit I do like the access for obtaining boating information here, but I also must admit I enjoy the banter. Even if some folks in my opinion take their self way, way too serious.

Or has the time come where this forum is going to become a serious replies only site? There is enough sh_t going on under the guise of Homeland security, media BS and the politicians.

I fully comprehend I could write this and leave out the sh_t and BS, but it would just not read the same or have the same emphasis. I suppose the next approach/requirement is for one to start all comments for any posts with a pronunciation of some type or a disclaimer.

Hell I cannot stand to watch the news for the same reason; now one will not be able to post comments to what has been a good and interesting forum.

I will not put on brown Jack boots and proclaim Sieg Heil! So if it must be ado, then I guess it will be ado.

A hacker could probably do it here, although probably not easy. Anything can be hacked by a pro.

But, if you visit a persons blog and they use a tool like this, then the info described previously is very easy to see.

"Detailed Analysis. In-depth information on your 50 most recent visitors, including date/time, IP, Browser, Operating System, and Screen resolution of visitors"

I think the idea of a secret admin dishing out info on this site is, well, a little paranoid.

It's even easier than that...

If you put an image in ANY post on CSR linked to another site (one you control), then you can watch the http requests scroll by on the server the image is hosted on... and compare the timing to people looking at the posts on CSR...

For example, Jack's signature goes to:

http://i703.photobucket.com/albums/ww39/CSR_240DA/05_27_09019-1-1.jpg

automatically...

You could easily put in:

http://www.my-really-bad-site-that-installs-nasty-stuff.com/mypicture.jpg

And would see every IP address (and all the other information in an http request... which is a lot) that reads that post on CSR....

You can get even more evil than that if you want... a link on a post can install a custom piece of software on a computer and then one can do all kinds of nifty things... The Internet is not safe nor is it anonymous.

You don't need the admin of CSR to give out data to see how many "real" users are on CSR....

Shall we discuss how one can easily do phishing next?

Wingtard is just paranoid...
