Stored on land this year. Noticed as waxing that there were cracks in the gel coat on the starboard side of the bow. It looks as if water seeped in and froze over the winter. They resemble spider cracks. Fellow boater next to me noticed blisters in that area when checking on boats in February. When I got there I could not see blisters, only spider cracks in gel coat. I tapped the fiberglass with mallet and there is a definate tone difference in this area. It is above the water line, and without digging into it deep I am assuming that water got into the fresh water anchor wash down compartment. So on a 1996 boat, would Sea Ray be able to get involved in this hull damage? In the good old days when they were flush in cash I would have a better chance...Just wondering.:huh:If not, anyone know a reliable fiberglass person on the Eastern Shore of Maryland?

I'm not sure of the lam process but I would consider a local dealer. Not sure on the warranty process either. But I'm thinking since it's 13 years, probably best to take it to your local dealer on any suggestions.

Just be glad it did not look this bad.
