2009 Sea Ray Sport 185 with 4.3 TKS

Hey all,
I have seen a number of people asking about replacement decals for their boats. It appears that they are quite hard to come by. I have a 185 Sport with the basic graphics design. Despite all of my searching, I can't find ANY reference to these decals not even a part number. It's as if they never existed. I did, however, find some for a 175 Sport that look identical (except for one number, of course) and aren't priced out of reach. Can anyone confirm that they are the same ones used on the 185? Thanks!

Looks like Great Lakes Skipper has what you are looking for! Google Sea Ray sport 185 decals. That's how I found them.

You generally won't find Sea Ray part numbers floating around the internet like you do with cars since the Sea Ray numbers are pretty much just used internally. You're correct, though, that you won't be able to buy them through a SR dealer, anymore - they're only available for a few years after the boat is produced.

Be careful, though, with companies online and what they advertise. They aren't always on the up-n-up about they're part numbers and what boats they were used on. Case in point - there was a recent thread about a special cleat that someone wanted and the Great Lakes Skipper ad showed what appeared to be a Sea Ray part number and the ad said "commonly used on Sea Ray boats". Well, neither of those statements is true - the part number is invalid and those cleats were never used on a Sea Ray. I've seen the same thing from GLS about seat "skins"... the ad says "Sea Ray", but they were never actually used in a Sea Ray.

Now, that doesn't mean that if you find a set of decals that you like and it will physically fit/work, that you shouldn't buy them. Just don't assume that just because an ad says "Sea Ray" that it actually was the stock (or a copy of) Sea Ray stickers.

For what it's worth, though, if you look in your parts manual (download it from Sea Ray's site if you don't still have the original that came with the boat), you can find your sticker kit and the correct part number.

Also... just for transparency, I looked up that part #1896447 and it WAS a valid part number for the 2008 Sea Ray 175 Sport.
