Rebirth of "The Escape"
Back history: i picked up a '74 sea ray srv 240 for a winter project (realizing it would take multiple winters) but life happens.
I got another job across country and will be leaving to start it in a few months. Sadly i wasnt going to be able to take it with me. So i decided to part it out / sell the hull. In the midst of this i discovered the transom had rotted out as well. Now i knew the floors were toast but the transom is more than i could of handled.
Unless anyone here would like the hull for free with full disclosure that the floors and transom are toasted than by all means come save the old girl. Otherwise over next couple of weeks i'll be dismantling her and than cutting her up.
If so i will take pictures as i cut her up so that we may see how thick the fiberglass was in various areas of the design.
-=EDIT=- after talking to both admirals (my future wife and my mom whose paying for the move) i was told that "we'll figure out a way to keep her." My mom whose a classic car lover i phrased it "if we had a '69 corvette which had a decent body but the engine interior and part of the frame were toast what would you do?" I got the answer i was looking for.
