"Deadliest Catch" Fleet heads north

Good point, I coud not do what you guys do each and every day either, but I am sure glad and blessed that we have people who can

Not close enough to get me a jacket :smt021
No I can't do that but Next time I see Sig(or My Brother sees him more often), do you want me to see if he wants a Southern Greenhorn? That's how you'll get that jacket. Do You remember how that Lobster fishermen from the NE did last year? His Name was "Guy" I think. He thought it was too cold, rough and hard.
I'm sure you'll be fine.

Depends, are you the owner, deck hand, greenhorn. A deck hand gets one share if I am not mistaken and a greenhorn usually gets a half share but some have earned a full share. Last week one share of the boat that was not king crab fishing was $90,000. They were on there way to get the load off so they could then head out to do some king crab fishing.

Basically does any amount make it worth the risk

Was it the American Star and they were finishing up the Brown king Crab?

There are Brown and Red King Crab. I think that's what you were refering to.

WOW Television has had a huge effect on these work boat owners.

Anyone notice how well painted they are. I mean have you ever seen such well painted work boats. I guess the scaled and rusted steel plates of typical working class boats doesn't show well for those armchair sailors in Iowa!

Think I got the Admiral hooked on the show last night! Hopefully I can get her off that stupid Big Brother CRAP!

It's amazing just how cold that water is. They said the Coast Guard says its a 100% death rate if someone falls in without a life jacket! The key is not to fall in. Obviously that lucky fella that fell in last season was an exception.....but he was close to loosing his life.

Great show!

I've been in high 40/low 50's degree water. It takes your breath away and feels like a constrictor around your chest. I can see how in even those temps I wouldn't be able to swim far. I can't even imagine the water temps in the high 20's low 30's.
