"Dead Duck" Quack Horn Replacement....again

I was able to dry out by dual aqua signal duck horn and the wd40 trick will work most times. I have the stainless grill over the horn that comes with black cloth on the inside to repel water. Unfortunately this only lasts about a year so what I did to prevent any water getting in, I took a piece of painter's canvas tarp and sprayed it with black rubber seal spray and then used the grill to trace the cutout. I pressed the rubberized canvas into the grill and now the horn stays dry. Not the loudest horn but it works.

I may give the WD40 trick a try! Mine stopped working about a week after my courtesy Coast Guard inspection last year!
Either way, the canned air horn I keep at the helm is much better :)
