Besides South Florida you don't hear anyone bragging about how warm it is where they're at on the East coast this winter.I can just hear the engine blocks freezing where they normally don't winterize. The longer days will sure help get us to April. I'm hoping for an early spring .Everyone in Ohio thinks that the harder a winter is means we are going to have an early spring and a better summer. I asked my Amish friend that owns and operates a hard wood lumber mill one fall if we were going to have a cold winter he told me come back in the spring and he will tell me.

It's been a change for us. We just moved here 18 months ago. Prior to that we were 30 years in California so we didn't experience too much in the way of winter weather. I'm hoping this week will be our last really cold one. I had to go out and buy 3 long sleeve tee shirts today. I know....you guys up north are laughing....

-17 where I was ice fishing for a high Wednesday. Not wind chill, just plain'ol' -17. Luckily the ice house was 65 and full of beer.

The admirals birthday is on the 21st. I remind her of this every year when she gets seasonal light disorder.

We are in Clearwater right now. For Florida, was chilly today.

This morning gray, wind blowing, probably in the 50's.

Leaving in the morning going south - searching for warm weather.

Provisioned for 2 weeks - will see how we do.

Still warmer than North Texas... Not all bad.
