Davit choice - 44da

I've got the Hurley system... Been very happy with it. I have an 11ft RIB with a 15 on it, and I can load it solo with some effort.
I have a swimplatforms.com platform, and the original integrated platform. Best thing about the davits is I still have platform access when the dink is on the davits.

LauCo,
Could you post pictures of your set up or just mail them to me @ ccbwsearay@gmail.com? I am struggling with which system to use on my 31' and since your boat is close to the same size as mine it would really help me with my choices. Thanks
David

David, no problem. I left my laptop at the office for once, so I will send them on Monday.

Sum Escape,
Beautiful boat and great set up, thanks for the pics. Do you have any problems when operating in rough seas? I have the same boat and it looks like in the pics you have enough clearance above the top of the platform. Also, where do you attatch the tie down straps to? Did you add "eyes" on the platform or do you utilize the cleats?

I added eyes to the platform that "fold down". This link will give you the idea.

No problem with rough seas. The swim platform is relatively high on this boat and does not extend out too far beyond the boat's stern. This height also makes it more difficult to load the dinghy...I always get an extra hand (usually the admiral) to help. No problem at all with two though.
The access from the ER to the swim plattform is also very easy so the through bolts can be properly backed, etc.
Good luck.
