Dear all,

I m currently in the market for the love of my life. A searay... A searay of any kind. Been loving those boats since I can remember. I live in Greece and I m ready to make a purchase. I found this searay that seems to be in good condition but the seller is the widow of the late :( owner. She told me that this is the boat and it is 8 meters long.... She also said that it is a 1992 model as you will see later on. My problem is that although the boat is surely dated around this time, the dash doesnt seem to be from a 1992, 270 (maybe) sundancer. Can you please take a look at the pictures and let me know what model this is? What do I have to keep in mind while inspecting an 18 year old searay? My father in law is a marine electronics engineer, so he 'll be inspecting that part. Anything else?

Thank you so much people in advance.

Wow - first they have a Wrangler towing that thing!!!????

The boat sure looks like 1992's which I've seen - hull shape and rub rail layout as well as the transom and transom door. The helm does look different - maybe it's different on the European market or they made some changes?

Agree that a Wrangler is the wrong vehicle to tow that with!

Nice boat ... especially if the girl comes with it!

Looks like a 220DA to me. Renamed the 240DA in 1992.

I owned a 1992 27' and you're right...the dash dosen't look like mine did. I can't say however whether it came off a different boat or not. The boat looks good in the pic's, what shape is the eng. room in? In my opinion the eng. room will tell you the most about how the previous owner cared for the boat. Does everything look professionally done? All wiring neat and secure? Clean? I liked my 27, and it surveyed fine.

The only issue I had was the outdrive. This HAS to be properly aligned every year, and if your boat does not have a reservoir for extra gear lube for the outdrive make sure you add one.

I think we have a winner.... That's the dash. :smt038

With Quint4 on this one defenatle a 220da/240da and the dash in your picture is the same as my 220da will happily post a picture if you like.
Also have a look at the 220da trend (just search 220da) loads of pictures for you to compeer :smt001

Like I said the first time.

What do I get?...pop and a candy bar?

Leaving for Florida in morning...for Bahama cruise on a BIG boat!

What is the Hull S/N # and Hull Model # that will tell you what you are getting. It's on the upper right side of the Transom.
