Hello:
The dash gauges on our 2006 40 DA with Mercury 8.1 gas engines blink on and off while cruising. This happens every 30 minutes or so with the analog dash Gauge Meters shutting down like they are in off position (0 RPM's, PSI, Empty Gas, etc.). It lasts a second and returns to normal and happens again.
I purchases the boat used 5 years ago and this has always happened. On a recent cruise it seemed to happen more frequently and wondering if anyone has any suggestions to diagnose.
There are 8 screws that that hold the dash panel. I was thinking of pulling the dash and taking a peak to see if there are any connections that could maybe be re-seated or cleaned.
