Hi - I have a 1996 DA370 and need to remove the windshield. I am looking for advice on the best way to remove the windshield without damaging the boat. Cheers Pete

Hey Club Sea Ray Folk - anyone out there that has had any experience with removing windshields that is willing to share their experience? Cheers Pete

Hi Pete,
I R&R'd my windshield on my 1997 330 DA. What kind of info are you in search of?

Hi I'm after the detail of how the windshield is constructed and in particular how it is attached to the deck - any tips on how to remove the Windshield would also be great... Cheers Pete

I ended up removing my windshield to get it powder coated as it was corroding in several areas. This is a two man job. I had already removed the radar arch & sent it out for repainting. My windshield frame actually came apart into 28 seperate pieces if I recall correctly but, depending on your motives, you may not be breaking it all down as I did. The entire windshield is attached to the topdeck by machine screws. These are accessed by removing the screw cover vinyl at the base of the windshield. Mine had shrunk over the years so many screws were exposed already. If yours is in the same condition, I recommend calling Taylormade & ordering a replacement for when you re-install the windshield. Other than the base screws there are a couple in the arch in the vertical trim & the windshield supports on the forward dash.
If I recall correctly, there are also concave/convex channels in the frame that connect the sections of windshield & also afforded some adjustment on the initial install as they have some play to them. I believe we took the windshield sections off separately at these joints. I hope this helps. If there is something more specific let me know. Good luck!
