Watched the video on the SR Facebook page. There are several cool models that appear to be Eur only, not US. Specifically, the 290 Sundance caught my eye. It has the bow seating like the new 320 but is single engine. Nice option, but I guess cruisers are out of favor here so we don’t get it.

I'm in the market for a 38-42' something, and the Europeans are doing the best job at the moment (namely Sunseeker, Fairline, and Princess).

I started to follow Motor Boat & Yachting and they have some great videos on boats they've reviewed in Düsseldorf -- I'm going to carve out time on my calendar to attend next year (boat shopping or not!).

I've seen mention of small-displacement and/or single-engine diesel European Sea Ray cruisers on the Sea Ray Facebook group and wish they had been available here. Fuel prices in Europe no doubt drive this. It's occasionally nice to go 30+ MPH in my 310 Sundancer, but often I think reduced maintenance and much lower fuel costs would be a reasonable trade off for being "stuck" at lower speeds from less horsepower. I also wish diesel power was more widely available in smaller boats.

I was at the show about 12 years ago. The exhibition halls are huge, however, unlike the US, there's a higher ratio of Sailboats to Powerboats (note: at the time I was a sailor). And yes fuel prices affect decisions - but also the culture as well.
