Any thoughts or advice on cushion color for 2003 sea ray 260. Currently white with gold piping. Blue Bimini top. Any pros or cons to doing a color for the cushions (like blue)? Thanks

Any darker color gets pretty hot in the sun.
Was just going to say the same thing.

Some of the tans look sharp but anything other than white gets very hot very fast. If you were to with something like Sunbrella fabric you can carry off a darker color that doesn't scorch you when sitting on it. I've seen some really sharp Sunbrella fabrics.

My last boat had beige striped cockpit cushions, and my current one has navy blue and white cushions. Both are fine to sit on in the sun because it's fabric vs. vinyl. But they were removeable cushions; not sure how Sunbrella would look on built in a Sundancer.

Last boat cushions. This pattern was great for hiding any spots. You can see at the top that the interior cushions are darker. They are covered by the hard top and are ultraleather.

Here's the current boat.

And a view from inside, just to show the contrast with the interior Buckskin ultraleather.

Maybe to spice it up, you could keep white and do a contrasting piping. Or perhaps a backrest in a contrasting color. Just don't do the seats in a darker color.

I kept it basic off-white with some color accent panels as shown. I always recommend trying to stay with similar or neutral color sets as anything too personalized or a combination of crazy colors can drive down your eventual resale value as it will limit your market.

Wow, so happy I hit on this thread, our cockpit vinyl is not horrible but is in need of replacement in some area’s. I was going to start changing it to a light gray but didn’t even think about the sun heat. Going with white and blue piping!

I went with this, never noticed it get crazy hot, but a lot of times we have towels down to sit on.

Here is another color combination that I like in the greys and the blues. I am doing this on my Pro Line Center Console. I don't think I would recommend the pleated on the 260DA but it work on the CC seat.
