The gauges on my 205 sport have a couple issues compared to other small runabouts I've owned in the past. The speedometer seems to be dare I say purposely inaccurate by 5mph fast. On the 01 Sea Ray 180 I owned the speed was right on. On the 93 Stingray with Teleflex gauges the speed was right on. On my friends 90 210 bow rider the speed was accurate so why 5mph fast on every new sport runabout out there?

Next is an issue specific to the 205 sport. My gauges fog to the point condensation forms inside the lens. I know this can be a problem on any boat stored in the elements but it never happened on either of my old boats stored in the same or lesser manner.

Another issue is the night lighting. The tach is significantly less illuminated than the other gauges. The tech at my dealer looked at other similar boats and saw the same issue. Is this a glare reducing design feature?
