Hello Club SeaRay and fellow diesel owners. I am in desperate need of a knowledgeable mechanic to bring my girl back to life. I have owned her about 5 years after purchasing from an auction, so I had no maintenance history to work off. I have done a number of things myself including filters, impellers and a raw water pump on one side. I used the vessel frequently during that time, mostly for cruising the Intercoastal, never anything hard, and she ran well. On my way into dock one evening about 6 months ago, running at about 1000rpm, the SB engine stalled out and would not restart. Not having the time or knowledge to troubleshoot going forward, I have been trying unsuccessfully since then to employ a mechanic to assist with getting her back running and take care of a few other neglected issues. Unfortunately, I haven’t had any luck getting someone to actually show up, and just been getting the run around.
If anyone has worked with an honest reliable service tech, please let me know. I am standing here with my credit card out!
    Thank you. Vince
