Cummins C-Series Impeller Source

I get all my parts from Cummins Power Systems in Glen Burnie. Their parts operation is in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and UPS ground gets the parts to me in 48 hours or so.

Skip

My CATs have the same Sherwood 1700 pump and use the same impellers. I bought a pair from Seaboard (boatdiesel.com). Tony's own blend.....

Thanks Dom and Skip... is there a part number or is referring to the Sherwood 19000 pump sufficient? Also, where on boatdiesel.com can I find this Seaboard you mention? I'm not a member of that site.

Gary, therein lies the problem... the pump I have looks an awful lot like the one you show. Except it's painted white of course. The Cummins service manual goes into great detail about how to change it, even giving the part number of the Sherwood impeller puller, but never mentions the part number of the pump or the impeller.

So I guess I'm actually going to have to speak to a human being. I hate that. I will call the Glen Burnie service center and have some shipped, but it seems like this is the type of thing someone should be selling on a website somewhere.

Tim-

www.sbmar.com Talk to Tony Athens aka Cummins Zen Master. He is the most knowledgeable diesel guy (especially with regard to Cummins) that I've ever talked to.

oops.....yes it's the 1700....not the 19XX......all this local talk about customer #9...AKA Spitzer.... and my sig in many places is a "9".....it was just a natural slip of the finger....

Well... if you are looking for the impellers for the 1700 series pumps, you can get the Sherwood brand from b0atfix.com (replace the "0" with an "o" for that to work) or get the "better" ones from sbmar.com...

80/\TF1X.C0M will probably sell you some \/1/\GRA while you are there.
