Cummins 6cta83m 450 fuel burn rate

I was wondering if anyone can give me some general GPH on these engines. I just bought a 2001 400 sedan bridge with these engines.
I am just trying to get some general numbers from others who have these engines. I tried a question like this on boat diesel.com and got no real answer to the question.

Matt, WOT on those is 2,600, expect to run them at 2200-2250 rpm, you will be in the range of 24-26 gph (total). Check out the manufacturers burn rates on Cummins web site, remember your average will be lower than this taking in to consideration slower speeds, no-wake, etc. http://marine.cummins.com/attachments/public/marine/Products/Recreational Inboard/6C/fr90215.pdf

I have these engines in my 03 420DA and have accumulated about 320 hours of helm time/engine time over the last two seasons. The sweet spot in my 420DA is 2100 RPMs, which gets me 23-24 knots and an average fuel consumption (including running the generator, which is probably a gallon an hour or so) of 21.5 GPH.

Same here, we have an 05 420DA with these engines. We are averaging between 21 and 24 GPH (total).

I haven't seen your question on boatdiesel.com but the issue that always arises with these types of discussions is how people calculate it. If you take the total fuel you burned during the year and divided it by the number of hours, you will get a number that generally looks "really good" and can share that with your friends. However, if you use that number to plan, let's just say, a 10 hour straight run, you'll run out of fuel. The fuel burn charts supplied by Cummins should be used for planning as they will be more accurate for a given RPM than someone's "seasonal average" where you have no idea how much poking around at 5 knots was done. For example, I think my 480 DB has an "average" of about 25 gph over the life of the boat. However, she burns 45-50 gph while cruising... But when I'm trolling, I get GREAT fuel economy.

I have a 400DB with these engines, cruising at 2150 I get 23 knots and burn 24.2 gph. At 900 rpm I get 8.2 knots and burn 3.6 gph. (both numbers are total gph)
