We are typically in the North Channel around those dates as well so when it gets closer post something and I will know for sure. Plan to spend some time in Door County Wisconsin this year as well but will probably do that earlier in the summer. With teenagers, you may want to make your way to Mackinac Island and than back down through the North Channel. Not that you are in a hurry but we can make it from Lake St. Clair to the Island in a long day getting fuel in Harrison, weather permitting of course. If we meet up in Kilarney I can put your kids to work babysitting a 4 and 7 year old while we have cocktails in the piano bar!
Sounds like a plan. Hopefully this thread will get some activity when the weather starts to break and we'll get a group up there. I certainly have the babysitter's for you. Take care.
