CSR Rendezvous 2009 – Chesapeake Hyatt - Labor Day

Sandy’s Beach has a confirmed reservation, arriving on Saturday 9/5 and departing on Monday 9/7. Also, for those that do not know the phone number to the Marina it is (410)-901-1234.

Rats, I was hoping we could finally meet some of you on a trip, but we're out of town that weekend. Have fun, and we'll try again next time!

Better make your reservations soon if you are thinking about going...Tim called earlier and they said they are getting "full" whatever gauge that is for how full they can actually get.

You obviously did not hear about my first trip to St Michaels…

I'll follow at a distance with an eye on the chart!

We did not tell the kids we are headed down. Jeez.. If they found out that there is a pool + Mini Golf I would never hear the end of it all week! I laugh, but when we went to Disney for a week, we literally told them the morning they woke up and we were headed to the airport!!!!

See you Saturday!

Wish we could join you folks for the Labor Day Gig but I'm still not quite ready for the open sea yet. Two hip replacements since Jan. has left me a little on the fragile side. There is always next year. Have fun you all. We will be sipping Margareta's on the beach in OC all next week.
George & C.J.

I usually stay on B-Dock. Have to use a 30Amp splitter but it works ok. Sticks out a little but nit too bad. Shorter walk for the dogs :)

Getting ready for departure, about another hour from now. Tide needs to drop another inch and a half and we are on our way. See you all there.

Well we are back, safe and sound. :smt038 I apologize to Nav I Gator and to Ryan on Sea :/ Drive I meant to introduce myself. Navi I just read the first post to see your boat, we were on A pier and I must have walked past your boat 1/2 dozen times and did not realize! Ryan I walked by Sunday morning but I am guessing you were up at the pool like we were most of the time! Mike it was good seeing you briefly at the pool! Ditto to you as well Tim as I saw you packing up to head out, I think you got the better conditions to cruise home in!!!

What a relaxing and draining weekend! The kids were asleep by 9-10 each night and we followed them shortly after! Saturday was the only day we hung out on the dock with Sandy's Beach... Sunday we were out by 10 ourselves!!!!

Other then my one navigational error on Saturday, in a crossing situation coming across the Patapsco (Beautiful Sundancer coming out of the Patapsco was stand on vessel but gave way to me as I was following Bill and lost track of him.... I apologize for that if your on here!!!)

Coming back was a good time, few bumps here and there but found a good cruising speed and the all aboard were happy.

Overall a great place to spend a few days, atsthe facilities are overwhelming and beyond family oriented!

Don't you Chesapeake guys photo-doc your journeys?

Was there an Inner Harbor thing this year?

Hey Bill
That's cool. DUH! I didn't notice the link above the sig pic. Looks like a fantastic destination. Love that outdoor pool - very interesting photo of it!

I'm trying!!! Just have to get the photos off the camera. Bill and Tim are the quickest when it comes to photos so my hat is off to them...

Sure we document our trip, my 5 and 7 year old document it very well... I have plenty of pictures of my vacuflush, dinette, aft berth complete with Hanna Montanna and Transformers sleeping bags, cockpit carpet, various other items on the boat and grounds... No wonder I am always looking for the camera... Don't know if you would be interested in them!!!

Oh and Bill the good Samaritan he actually gave a short tow to a boater in need while coming through the cut at Hart-Miller the fellow's engine quit. So he towed him a short distant to a safe anchorage!
