Just curious, are any of the original members of Club SeaRay from 2004 still on the board? If so, what do you think of the renewed activity?

I guess they died off  Being old timers in all.

I always figured a lot of the members on here were the same people on sro. Guess not  Most sites like this have lots of registered members but ony a small percentage are very active, so maybe they are a lot of the sam epeople that were lurkers on both sites. I have sent out only a few emails to the memberlist before, not somthig I like to bother people with unless there is an important message. Maybe I'll send one to have people check the site out again.

It would be nice to get viewpoints from new members. Since this board has taken on a real SRO feel to it, hearing from new non-SRO people would be very welcomed

I had been on SRO for a while ... only since sometime earlier this year though, certainly not an "old timer" there. SRO was good while it existed. This is just as good and probably better, since we hopefully don't have to worry it getting shut down on a moments notice.
People come, people go ... just like elsewhere in life ...

Congrats to all active members for a great CSR ... it is the forum members who make the quality of the forum !! :smt038

Along the same line of thought, Jim did you have any idea how many user would sign up or how much work it has been for you to keep up with the suggestions we've come up with?

By the way thank you for the job you are doing, :smt038 :smt038 keep up the great work.

I just had to reinvest some time into the site to update it, plus put it into a format that was more familiar to the new users. No big deal. We have some very competent mods so I don't have to worry about things getting out of hand. It looks like only about 100 people or so have joined from SRO, if somebody has that contact list you should send an email to those folks. Luckily it seems like it was the most active 100. Most of my time has been spent trying to get the spambots under control. Just a few days ago I implemented another measure which looks like it has stopped most of them. I'm sure we'll still get some unsolicited spam every now and again though. I'm definitely happy to host the site and will continue to add whatever everybody wants.

Be careful what you wish for.
I would like to state again that I appreciate that you have welcomed us SRO oldtimers here and that you have put together such a great site. Thank you again!

Thanks for providing everyone with a great site to call home.
The former SRO Boaters especially apreciate all your work and support.
I hope everyone has a GREAT Holiday season. :smt024
