CSR Lake Erie Islands 2014 Rendezvous (Paper District Marina Sandusky)

If you are coming into Sandusky Bay from the lake just stay in the channel and you will be fine. The obstruction is to the east and you will be going west. There are people trying to find this object. Hopefully it will be found and removed or marked.

Good to see more people signing up - the more the merrier! For those folks that are thinking of coming but have not yet committed, please try to make it. It is a great opportunity to meet others with a passion for boating. Even if you can only make it for a short time - by boat or car - stop in. We'd love to meet you!!

Glad that we have more interest. As stated before we have several docks with 50 amp service. I can handle that but don't know if anyone else is able to. We have 11 30 amp docks so we need to plan who's going where..



We will have a potluck on Saturday afternoon around 1. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new people.
 
So we'll be in the area around the 9th of August and unfortunately miss the rendezvous. Maybe next year!
 
I do not have a cord for 50 amp service. Depending on the width of the 36 ft well I can fit into it if there is a narrow beam boat next to me since I transom in.
I dock in a 35 ft well at Anchors Away and also when I dock at Port Side Kelly's Island.

Ok folks were getting closer. It looks like the weather for this coming weekend is going to cooperate - Highs in the upper 70's, winds from the south / southwest at less than 10mph.

There is still time to sign up and join the group. As a reminder, those that trail smaller boats (like us!) there is a very nice launch ramp adjacent to the Paper District Marina. Even if you can only make it for a day or a couple of hours - stop in!

As stated in a previous post, a pot-luck lunch will take place Saturday at 1PM. (Jason, let us know if that has changed).


We are planning on arriving sometime Friday afternoon. Anyone else arriving on Friday?
 
Looking forward to It! We'll be over by noon at the latest Saturday. I'll check with the admiral and post here what we will be bringing for the potluck. I'm going to have to pass the torch of grill master this year. Having a 6 week old aboard is taking up all of my free hands.


It looks like we will have roughly 15 boats with roughly 35 mouths to feed. So lets plan for 13-18 boats and 35-45 people...
 
Greetings all. I should be over Friday around 4. Yes potluck is still on for 1 ish on Saturday. We will make the 30 amp docks 1st come priority. For the guys that are stopping in for the day and do not need electrical hook ups plan to be on the 40 ft side (bay side) of the piers. I'll update later this week so stay tuned. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Oh, I've got jambalaya and desert planned along with a few snack items.
 
just to make it official we'll be attending for a few hours on Saturday (assuming there is still room). plan is to be there by noon we won't need any kind of power hook up so where ever it's best to put me just let me know. likey we'll be in the 27' but should that for some reason not work out we'll putt over in the 15' looking forward to It!
 
ais anyone bringing drinks (is beer and such allowed otherwise we poss cook up something) for the pot luck, we will be in marble head this weekend and still wanted to come even though we no longer have a boat.
 
Our three grandkids are with us on the boat Thurs, Fri, & Sat. I think our daughter will be taking them home Sat. afternoon so we're hoping to be able to stop by in the Whaler and visit with everyone Sat evening.

Alcohol is fine everywhere. We will not be at a state dock...and please stop by... they have plenty of parking!

Bob, bring the grand kids if you'd like. There will be other children.
 
Sorry to say I will not be able to make it. A lot more going on then I planed for this weekend.
