CSR Lake Erie Islands 2012 Rendezvous

Jess and I made it safely on Aftica... Everyone here seems to think it will subside as the day progresses. Fingers crossed. Be safe all. The lake looks to be running at 2 to 4 footers. Just watched a Lyman bounce through the chop heading to PIB. Luckily kellys and south bass break the waves to the west and Pelee brakes it on the east side of MBI.

The sun is out and the wind has dropped of drastically!

We are heading there in the morning. Was just a little too rough for us today.

Jason...your boat is looking lonely on that dock! I'm sure everyone will show tomorrow when it settles down...have fun.

The marina is empty... we have docks open on D and E that were reserved! If you would prefer A I'm sure they will accept it!

Weather report!

Its beautiful with waves at 1 to 3 but around the islands it is reliativly calm at 1' or less. Sin shine and the temp is just right!

I didn't spend the night alone. Cmount1. From lake St. Clair made the trip yesterday. What a beautiful boat and it was great doing a boat hop even if it was only two boats!

A Special thanks to everyone!

Last count was 9 members boats and 8 buddy boats for a total of 17!

I personally had a wonderful time and it was so great to meet everyone.

:smt038 fantastic time guys, special thanks to Jason and Casey for pulling this together. The Admiral and I talked about how much fun we had the entire drive home. sorry we just disappeared this morning, sort of rushed out to meet my sister who suprisingly was in town. It was fantastic to meet you all and I can't wait till next year, although I can't speak for Bob since there wasn't any lobster:grin: oh and the goody bags were an extra treat. for those that missed it I surely hope you can attend future events. if for no other reason, look at all the stuff we got!

Jason it was great to meet you and Jesse on Friday and thanks for the goody bag. We stopped by first thing Saturday morning for a coffee but, all I heard was a chain saw coming from the cabin, so I figured you were in the middle of a project and didn't want to interrupt.

I had never been to PIB so I was anxious to go see the sights and took an early ferry over. What I thought might be a few hour trip turned into an all day/night visit, so I'm sorry we didn't get to meet anyone else.

Congrats to Jason and Casey. You guys worked your tails off preparing for this cruise and it was
greatly appreciated by all! We had a blast and met some GREAT folks. We totally enjoyed everyone's company. The Bloody Mary's, Fuzzy wuzzys, and party drinks along with the hors d'oeuvres that the first mates prepared were fantastic. Totally enjoyed the conversations had over lunch at J F Walleyes, along with the "Goodie Bag" provided by Jason and Casey. View attachment 25842
 
Thanks Jason and Casey, we had a great time. I am definitely going back to TJ walleyes. Maybe I`ll see some of you there .

It's always nice to meet great new people who share the same love of the water and the pasttime. All of you whom I met on Saturday were no exception.

I have to admit, I missed my Sea Ray last weekend.

Hope to catch up with all of you again soon.
