Would the steering committee entertain a proposal to choose a weekend besides the Independence Day weekend for the 2010 event? I just can't leave my home port on that weekend, it's my annual family reunion. And it is, after all, all about me!

Either way, in 2010 we should seek to do a "home and home series" with perhaps back to back BIH / AC shindigs.

I think the selection of July 4th weekend was suggested by Dom for the fireworks and seconded by... the guy who didn't show up.
