Hello all Crystal Coast NC Sea Ray owners!!! I'm hoping to find some SR friends to make connections with who boat in the Cape Lookout/BFT/MHC/Emerald Island area. My wife and I are new to the Sea Ray family and crossed another SR Amberjack inside Cape Lookout about two weeks ago. The name on my boat then was "Dealer Ship" out of Marathon, FL but it should soon be "Reveler's Revenge" out of Beaufort, NC.

We would love to meet some new friends to boat with! I'm sure we won't winterize this year as we've just bought the boat and fishing is so good around here through the next few months. PM me or just reply to this post...hoping I can find the owners of that beautiful blue Amberjack I saw a few weeks ago.

Tight lines and drinks to all!!!

We are up here in Belhaven but get down your way a few times a year. We go to Ocracoke 5-6 times a year also, Washington, NC about the same. We will keep an eye out for ya's!

Hi Mike,
We have a house in Pine Knoll Shores and keep our boat in the neighborhood marina. We did pull the boat and winterized the boat so hopefully we can get together in the spring,
Shackleford Banks is one of our favorite hangouts and of course going to Beaufort for lunch

Hey KKalsch!

Sorry for the super delayed response...got sucked up by the holidays. Good to see another CSR member so close. I will definitely keep an eye out for you around Shack and at the BFT docks. We like to run the outside to Cape Lookout too...beautiful water out there (and the lighthouse doesn't hurt the view either). BTW - I recognize the view in your pic...tied up at the Dock House are ya?!?

OldSkool...your not kidding!!! What a classic! Hope you guys thaw out in the high country soon. If not you can always play pond hockey...GO CANES!

Welcome Mike!

We are yankees (forgive use), but we spend a good amount of time in your backyard... My inlaws live in MHC (house is on the water in Spooners Creek!), we always do our day trips to Shackelford and Cape Lookout, beutiful boating down in your parts! We have to hook up when we get down there in a few months. My father in law has a 75 foot floating dock plus 2 boat lifts (30 ft Back Cove and a 22 Riddick Bay), we usually take the Riddick to the beach (Shackelford) and use the Back Cove to run up to Cape Lookout.

FYI, If you havn't allready, check out the Ace Marine in Beaufort, it is one of my favorite stores down there for marine "stuff"...

Hey Larry,
At least you're not a "Damn Yankee" LOL We moved to Raleigh 20 plus years ago and never looked back.
Mike -Good to see another Canes fan!! Hope to hook up with you guys this spring!!

I am planning on being around that weekend. As for marinas and anchroages there's plenty to choose from. I keep my boat at The Boathouse at Front Street Village - http://www.frontstreetvillage.com/#!the-boathouse. Awesome is the best way I can describe the service there. Great people and very reasonable pricing in the ship store for food and beverage. They are short on amenities like showers only because they just opened late in the season last year and haven't constructed them yet. There should be a pool and showers under construction by the time Memorial Day shows though. Who knows...they could be completed by then!

As for activites and anchorage there's always the back side of Shack if you're into a little party type of atmosphere and then there's the inside of the Cape if you're a little more laid back. You will likely see me at both at some point.

Have you bee to this area before?
