Cruising to Nantucket Video

Impressive video and photo's especially considering that you were both the cameraman and the main act! Nice job docking. Thanks for sharing.
 
Thanks guys.....The go pro was used in both docking scenes on nantucket.......i have a canon vixi a g10 for all other shots
 
I'm dying to know something. How do you get the footage of you leaving docks, arriving at docks, sitting on benches, sitting on the boat, etc. when you are "alone" ?? Do you like set up a tripod in town taking a picture of yourself? You set up the camera on the dock, film you leaving, then come back and get the camera? You don't find that a little... umm... well...

Crap John, Gary does have a point! I say I come out for a trip and act as crew... and buy dinner & good wine.
 
There is a time to be serious for me (monday through friday) and a time to just say "frig it" and be able to laugh at yourself.....It is amazing though when you do stuff like this how people on the street just open up and you talk to people you would have never of met.....I am having a blast with it.......It is just a fun hobby for me now....When the lines are untied for good and I am cruising to every island in the caribbean, you guys will all say "I knew that odd dude" from CSR and now I am jealous he is living his life......Ken, it is an unpaid position!!!!
 
John, as always you set the bar higher with every video. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see your videos of you cruising the caribbean...

I'll join Ken as a crew member too! :thumbsup:

I respectfully disagree. I think odd is just plain good. Life is boring when you take yourself too seriously. Looks like John is having fun choreographing his own videos and photos...I really don't find it odd. Don't know how else you would do it if you are cruising solo.
 
The Go Pro's are cool. It was a good video. That town looked empty though.
 
Thanks everyone.....Yes the best part of cruising off season is how quiet places are....During the summer it is like a bunch of ants at an ant farm...
 
I believe this video is great because I was able to feel the moment with John.
