Cruising Guide Recommendations (NY/NJ/MD)

Greg, if you get into Barnegat Bay you have to let us know. Maybe you can stay a night at the posh Dom's Marina in Bayville. Plenty of room there. And while you're in the neighborhood, we can show you the "secret spot"

The SECRET SPOT??!!!!!!!!

...if there's a chance to tag along to Chesapeake area for at least a part of the trip that would be awesome.

Alex,

It would be great if you could join us for the trip through the Chesapeake. Wasn't sure if that was in the cards for you. Then you can plan the trip and save me some time...

Maybe by then we can stop at the fuel docks and buy Diesel together. :smt001

Wow, the "Secret Spot" I've heard tale of it, but have never seen it in person. Do I have to perform any sort of sacrifice to be able to gain entry to this Majestical place?

Yes, you have to survive the "S" curve. bring extra underwear.

Yeah, and you have to bring the daiquiri and pina colada machines. That's pretty much all as far as initiation rituals.

I can swing that. It looks to be pretty economical to stay at Dom's...

I think if we show all the secret spots to Greg he'll be changing his home port, not to mention our cool gang of 10-12 boats.

Greg,

Regardless how you plan your trip south I think you have to spend a night in BB. I'll be happy to keep you company staying on the hook over night. It's not easy to compete with beautiful surroundings of Shelter Island, but we have several nice spots that you'll enjoy as well.

P.S. I just hope we'll plan AC Rendezvous on a different wekend (last year it was on 23rd). I wouldn't want to miss such great event.

Also don't forget ROD's marina. It has "competetive prices" and their staff is very friendly and fun to be around.

Wow, didn't think of that, but I guess we could do the AC thing, and then start the trip from there. Actually that might be good, I started last years trip at Shelter Island with you guys.

As long as it's not the 30th (that would be right in the middle of my trip. I think everybody agreed that the weekend of the 4th isn't good either, I'll be camping in Tennessee...

Now I really can't wait for spring.

Greg....didn't you see the fine print?....

You're welcome in Dom's Marina anytime Greg....but as Mike said earlier, an extra set of BVDs to make the S-Turn are advised. btw Mike...the S-Turn was finally dredged late last season....how well it holds up over the winter storm season is yet to be determined.....kind of like Dom's Marina rates....

I hear tell that the 2011 AC Rendezvous is being 'secretly' planned for the weekend after July 4th....but that's just a rumor right now.....our Cruise director....Ron.... needs to firm up some dates and then start a new thread.

Just in case you left your reading glasses home...

Well, you know...

Telegraph
Telephone
Television
Tell a woman
Tell Ron

None of them are any good for keeping secrets.

You'll want to turn off your depth alarm... and pray for no wind.
