The Cruisair unit on my 2006 Sundancer 260 is suddenly making an incredibly loud noise when it cycles to "heating". No errors are displayed on the control module and the heating function works well. All other cycles purr nicely - no problem. I've cleaned the filter and looked for PDF service manuals on the web, but neither worked. Any ideas of what could be causing this noise? Thx

I don't have the answer, but another piece of data to know... is the noise temporary (only 2-3 seconds when the heat pump kicks in) or is it constant during heat cycle?

Need more info.... Sometimes in heat mode the compressor sounds way noisey and then should settle down..... Just nature of the beast. Colder the water and space temp noise might be exasperated... key word is may.... Post more info about the noise ....

Here's a possibility for you Livingston 1971. Last year on my brother's Cruisers Inc., the plastic squirrel cage blower fan on his "Rotary-Air" heat pump grenaded into several pieces & the imbalance caused quite a racket.

Good luck ~ Ken

The only difference between heat and cool modes is the position of the reversing valve. They make a pronounced whooooshing noise when they switch over, which is normal, but that's only momentary. Can you describe the noise?
