I see some discussion of error codes that show up on Cruisair SMX panels but didn't find an answer to my issue. I have two systems onboard with a single water intake and two water thru-hulls, one for each unit. A year or so, one unit started displaying PS/LO. Water seems to be moving fine and the filter is clean. PS/LO is low pressure but where? We limped along as the official service center is 6 hours away. Now the other unit is showing the same. Suggestions for trouble shooting are appreciated before I call a technician.

Thanks.

I saw those posts but still don't know why the low pressure switch is causing the problem. I seem to be getting good water coming out of the thru-hulls. I am confused I guess...

No, not the water flow, the air flow. Check the front of the units where the return air enters to the condenser (or whatever it's called). There are screens that collect dust from the air. These need to be cleaned monthly. Check those out.

You may have low freon, but that's supposed to be really rare. Is this happening in the heat or A/C mode?

Couple more things to check before you get a service tech on site. You need to make sure your fan system is moving good air flow preferably on high speed to start with. This means you need to check the supply side as well to make sure you don't have any obstructions in the air flow path including the flexible duct leaving the unit. If your boat has some age on it and the filter was dirty you might already have allowed to much dirt/lint & dust to get through to the point the evaporator coils are dirty and restricting air as well as the squirrel cage blower might need cleaning.

Good luck,

Worked on the units today. Forward unit now works. Seemed to be an air bubble in the line that kept water from circulating. I know I said that both units were spewing water out the thru-hulls but found out not true today. Fixed the forward unit and not generates heat.

Worked on salon unit with little success. Seems to generate cool air in cool mode but with the outside temperature at 50 not much call for cool right now. Heat still goes into PS/LO shortly after turned on. No restrictions on air flow. Water flows fine. Did notice that one side of radiator gets hot but not the other. Here are two pictures, one of the radiator and the other of entire unit. Suggestions? And thanks.

I had a similar circumstance on my salon unit. Low freon was the culprit. Had a local tech add freon to the system. No problems in the 13 months since that repair-both in heating and cooling modes. In an 01 410 DA I am thinking low freon.
