Does the CAT 3116TA have a "large" or "small" crankcase breather? If "large", then Turbocharger/aftercooler service needed is at 1000 hours. If "small", then 500 hours.

Thanks

What is the significance of "Walker Air Seps" to the question? The manual says nothing about that having anything to do with the time interval?

We are leaving for the lake now, I wish I had time to read the mail on this one! Anyway I have walker air-seps. I don't if they are small or large or what. I'll be reading my maint. man. as soon as we get to the boat. No internet there, yet.

Bye now!

Walker Air-Seps are not mentioned in the manual because they are aftermarket and not produced by Caterpillar.

Before you go yanking off your turbos for servicing, you might want to see if you have them or not because air SEPS separate oil droplets from crankcase gasses and return them to the crankcase instead of sending then thru your turbos.
